From the Editor
This is our last issue for this academic year as the LCN will be off for the summer. When we get back in the fall the newsletter will have a new look! I want this look to be a surprise, so make sure to check back in the fall to see it!
I'd like to thank our authors for their contributions this year. Gary, Robin, Jan, and Pat have done a great job with their monthly articles. The newsletter would not be much without their contributions.
If you would like to join the newsletter team, please contact me. The newsletter has over 1,000 subscribers in learning centers across the US. Wouldn't it be great to share some of your expertise with these readers? It would look good on your resume too!
Please forward this newsletter to your colleagues. Since we don't charge for subscriptions our advertising budget is low (OK it's zero!), and we depend on word-of-mouth to reach learning center administrators. If each reader gets a colleague to join, we will double our membership! I'm sure your colleagues would enjoy and benefit from the newsletter too.
Remember that you can use the LCN articles in your own academic publications (e.g. center's newsletter, website, orientation material, etc.) Also, you can place links to the LCN articles on your website. For an index of past articles, click here. See the Citation Info for the details on using the articles in your publications.
If you change your email address please update us. Your email address is the only way for us to let you know of new issues. Every month we get bounced email messages when we announce the new issue. Unfortunately we don't have the time or resources to investigate why these emails bounced or what are the new email addresses.
